Maharashtra has 65 medical colleges participating in NEET-UG counselling — 41 government, 24 private. Together they offer 9,349 MBBS seats across state quota and All India Quota rounds.

The average intake per college is 144 seats. B. J. Government Medical College has the largest intake at 250 seats with a 1,296-bed teaching hospital; Government Medical College has the smallest at 50. Combined hospital bed capacity across all colleges is 42,934, averaging 661 per institution.
Government colleges account for 5,800 seats (62% of total) while private and deemed institutions contribute 3,549.
