Real merit-list data, 2021–2025. 2024 was the easiest paper (ranks inflated for the same marks); 2025 was the hardest — the topper scored 686/720, so a blank cell means that score was unachievable that year. 2026 is our prediction, not a result.

How the estimate is built
The predictor reads your marks against the official NEET merit lists from 2021 to 2025. For each of those years we know the exact rank a given score earned, so your marks sit on the real curve for each year and the closest rank is read off — not a generic formula.
Year matters because the same score has mapped to very different ranks. 2024 was an easy paper, so 600 marks sat deeper in a crowded field; 2025 was the toughest in years. A single fixed marks-to-rank table would mislead, so the estimate is built per year.
For 2026 we apply recency weights and difficulty weights to keep the curve current, so the estimate leans on the most recent papers rather than a flat five-year average. It is a projection, not a result; we will replace it with real ranks once NTA publishes the 2026 results.
What a rank means in practice depends on your category, home state and the year's cutoffs, so treat these as broad bands. A general-category All India Quota government seat is usually competitive under roughly AIR 15,000, while state quotas, reserved categories, and private and deemed colleges extend the reach well beyond that. The College Predictor works out the specific colleges for your rank.
How to read your result:treat the number as a band, not an exact rank — your real AIR lands near it. Carry the estimate into the College Predictor to see which colleges are realistic at that rank by category and state, then refine once NTA publishes your actual AIR.
