Telangana has 65 medical colleges participating in NEET-UG counselling — 36 government, 29 private. Together they offer 8,815 MBBS seats across state quota and All India Quota rounds.
These colleges are in 44 cities. Hyderabad has the most with 9, followed by Karimnagar (3), Warangal (3), Rangareddy (2), Khammam (2).
The average intake per college is 136 seats. C Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences has the largest intake at 250 seats with a 1,115-bed teaching hospital; Government Medical College has the smallest at 100. Combined hospital bed capacity across all colleges is 40,675, averaging 626 per institution.
Government colleges account for 3,590 seats (41% of total) while private and deemed institutions contribute 5,225.
