What is SC (Scheduled Caste)?

The Scheduled Caste (SC) category in Karnataka has a 15% reservation of state quota seats. This covers all communities listed under the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order for Karnataka. Candidates must produce a Caste/Income Certificate issued by the jurisdictional Tahasildar at the time of document verification. No creamy layer criterion applies to SC candidates.
