Chhattisgarh NEET MBBS Counselling Documents

Chhattisgarh asks for residence, character, and Collectorate sign-off on freedom-fighter claims
The state quota needs a Chhattisgarh residential certificate (you qualify through five years of study in the state, a parent's property or business here, or long residence) and a character certificate. The one item with a tougher requirement is the freedom-fighter quota: that certificate has to come straight from the Collectorate.
What Chhattisgarh requires
Residential certificate. You qualify by studying five years in Chhattisgarh, by a parent's property or business in the state for five years, or by fifteen years' residence, certified by the competent authority.
Freedom-fighter quota. The certificate that backs your claim has to be issued directly by the Collectorate.
You are considered for the 85% state quota and the 15% All India Quota run by the MCC. The documents below cover both. One difference for AIQ: your OBC certificate must be on the Central OBC-NCL list in the central format. A Chhattisgarh OBC certificate works for the state quota but is rejected for AIQ. If you plan to use both, get a central-list OBC-NCL certificate as well.

NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
National Testing Agency (NTA)
- What it is
- This is your proof that you sat the exam. It carries your roll number and the photo used to match your face at the desk.
- How to get it
- Download it from neet.nta.nic.in. A fresh admit card is being issued for the 21 June 2026 re-exam, so your old 3 May admit card no longer counts.
- What it costs
- Free.
- How long
- You can download it the moment it is released, expected by mid-June 2026.
NEET UG 2026 Scorecard / Rank Letter
National Testing Agency (NTA)
- What it is
- This shows your percentile, your marks and your All India Rank. The whole allotment runs on this rank.
- How to get it
- Download it from neet.nta.nic.in once results are out, expected July 2026.
- What it costs
- Free.
- How long
- You can download it the moment results are declared.
Class 10 Certificate / Marksheet
Recognised national or state board
- What it is
- This is the accepted proof of your date of birth. The counselling authority wants the board certificate, not a municipal birth certificate.
- How to get it
- You already have this one. If you have lost it, apply to your board for a duplicate well before counselling starts.
- What it costs
- Free if you have it; a duplicate from the board costs about Rs.100–500.
- How long
- Ready straight away if you have it; a board duplicate can take 2–4 weeks.
Class 12 Marksheet + Passing Certificate
Recognised national or state board
- What it is
- This proves you cleared 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech and English, and met the required aggregate (50% Open/EWS, 40% SC/ST/OBC, 40% Open-PwBD).
- How to get it
- You already have this one. It must show your individual subject marks.
- What it costs
- Free if you have it.
- How long
- Ready straight away if you have it.
Government Photo ID
Aadhaar / PAN / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence
- What it is
- This checks your identity against the admit card so nobody can sit in your place.
- How to get it
- Bring any valid, unexpired government ID. Aadhaar is the simplest choice, since your name has to match across all your documents.
- What it costs
- Free if you have it.
- How long
- Ready straight away if you have it.
Passport-size Photographs
Same photo as your NTA registration
- What it is
- These are for the college's records. They must be the same photo you uploaded during NEET registration.
- How to get it
- Print 8 colour copies from the exact file you uploaded to NTA.
- What it costs
- About Rs.50–150 at a photo studio.
- How long
- Same day.
Medical Fitness Certificate
Registered allopathic practitioner (MBBS or higher)
- What it is
- This confirms you are fit for clinical training. Some colleges issue it when you report; others want it in hand beforehand.
- How to get it
- Get it from a registered MBBS doctor, or from the allotted college's own medical board if they insist on using theirs.
- What it costs
- Free at a government hospital; Rs.200–1,000 at a private one.
- How long
- Same day.
Birth certificate: only needed as a backup if your Class 10 certificate does not print the exact date of birth.
Chhattisgarh eligibility
This opens up the 85% state quota.
Domicile Certificate (Eligibility)
Competent revenue authority via CG e-District
- What it is
- Your proof of Chhattisgarh domicile, which is what makes you eligible for the state quota.
- How to get it
- Apply on the CG e-District portal. The counselling bulletin does not spell out the exact qualifying conditions or the proforma; instead it points you to the Gazette of Chhattisgarh on the DME website for the eligibility, proforma and bond detail, so confirm your route there before you apply.
- What it costs
- Nominal.
- How long
- Allow about 2 weeks; apply early.
Watch out: It has to be dated before the last date of registration for the round you are entering, and it is one of the documents checked in person at scrutiny.
Character Certificate
Last institution / competent authority
- What it is
- A behavioural clearance you need at verification.
- How to get it
- Get it from your last school or the competent authority.
- What it costs
- Nominal.
- How long
- Same week.
Watch out: It is on the list of required documents, so don't skip it.
Reservation documents
Only if it applies to youOnly if you are claiming a reserved category.
Caste / EWS Certificate (with OBC Non-Creamy-Layer proof)
Competent Chhattisgarh authority via e-District
- What it is
- Your proof of reserved category for the Chhattisgarh state quota. OBC candidates also need documents that confirm Non-Creamy-Layer status.
- How to get it
- Apply on the CG e-District portal in the prescribed format. If you are OBC, also carry the documents that confirm your Non-Creamy-Layer status, which the bulletin lists as a separate requirement.
- What it costs
- Nominal.
- How long
- About 2 weeks.
Watch out: The certificate (and, for OBC, the Non-Creamy-Layer proof and EWS certificate) has to be dated before the last date of registration; these documents must be scrutinised.

Freedom-Fighter Quota Certificate
Competent authority (per the Chhattisgarh Gazette proforma)
- What it is
- The certificate that backs a claim under the freedom-fighter class.
- How to get it
- Get the certificate in the prescribed proforma. The counselling bulletin recognises Freedom Fighter as a reserved class but doesn't name the issuing office; the exact authority and proforma are in the Gazette of Chhattisgarh on the DME website, so confirm there.

- Nominal.

Divyang (PwD) Disability Certificate
State Medical Board constituted by CGDME (state quota); MCC designated centre (AIQ)
- What it is
- For the Divyang (Persons with Disability) horizontal quota.
- How to get it
- For the Chhattisgarh state quota, the certificate has to be made by the State Medical Board constituted by CGDME. A certificate from a District Medical Board or any other Medical Board is not accepted for the state Divyang quota. For AIQ you need a separate certificate from one of the MCC's designated centres.

- Free at a government facility.

- Apply early; slots are limited.
Watch out: Only a CGDME State Medical Board certificate works for the state Divyang quota; a District or other board certificate will not get you a seat under that quota, and a state certificate does not cover your AIQ claim or the other way round.
Sainik (Defence) Quota Certificate
Competent authority (per the Chhattisgarh Gazette proforma)
- What it is
- The certificate that backs a claim under the Sainik (defence) class.
- How to get it
- Get the certificate in the prescribed proforma. The counselling bulletin recognises Sainik as a reserved class but doesn't name the issuing office; the exact authority and proforma are in the Gazette of Chhattisgarh on the DME website, so confirm there.
- What it costs
- Nominal.
- How long
- Apply early.
Watch out: It has to be dated before the last date of registration and is checked at scrutiny.
