Re-NEET 2026 provisional answer key: how to download it and raise objections
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the
re-conducted NEET-UG 2026 examination at neet.nta.nic.in. The re-examination was held on 21 June 2026, and the
provisional key along with the recorded response sheet (OMR) are expected shortly after, in line
with NTA’s usual turnaround.
For context, the original NEET-UG 2026 was held on 3 May 2026 and its answer key was published
within days of the exam, so the re-test key is expected soon. Candidates who appeared for the
re-test can use the provisional key to match their responses and estimate their score before
results are declared.
What to expect
- Re-NEET 2026 exam: held on 21 June 2026.
- Provisional answer key and response sheet: expected shortly after the
exam (NTA typically releases these within a few days). - Objection / challenge window: opens together with the answer key and
usually stays open for a short period (about two to five days in past years).
NTA has not announced firm public dates for the key and the objection window yet, so treat
the above as indicative and confirm the exact schedule on the official site.
How to download the Re-NEET 2026 answer key
- Go to neet.nta.nic.in.
- Open the “Re-NEET 2026 Provisional Answer Key / Response Sheet” link.
- Log in with your application number and password (or date of birth).
- Download the answer-key PDF for your question-paper code (50, 60, 70 or 80) and the
recorded response sheet. - Match your recorded responses against the key to compute a probable score
(+4 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect one).
How to raise an objection
- On the same portal, open the answer-key “Challenge / Objection” link.
- Select the question ID(s) you wish to dispute and choose the answer you believe is correct.
- Upload supporting proof (a textbook reference or authentic source) for each challenge.
- Pay the prescribed fee of Rs 200 per challenged question. This fee is
non-refundable, even if your objection is later accepted. - Submit and save the confirmation for your records.
What happens after the objection window
NTA places the submitted challenges before a subject-expert panel. If a question is found to
be wrong or ambiguous, it may be dropped, in which case every candidate who attempted that
question is typically awarded full marks (+4). The final answer key is published after this
review, and the result follows.
